Toronto Workplace

Pinterest’s new office in Toronto, Ontario connects visitors and employees to the local culture and uses architectural forms and key visual identity elements to connect to Pinterest’s global brand.

Working in collaboration with interior architects at Gensler, we designed an eclectic collection of meeting rooms and gathering spaces themed with 2D and 3D graphics to depict Canadian food, fashion, and nature. The office introduces visitors to local favorites, and offers employees a sense of pride by creating a physical manifestation of a Pinterest board itself.

As a finishing touch, we pulled from the branded architectural geometries, as well as the interior design color and pattern palette to create a full wayfinding and code signage system. The design motif varied per floor to coincide with the interior architectural features. Tall arches, angled walls, and soft finishes were interpreted as linework to aid in tying the different scopes together.
